Abdullah Amin Musleh Salah (December 31, 1922 - December 29, 2007) was a Palestinian human rights activist. He was born and raised in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm. He was Jordan's ambassador to a number of countries around the world, and Jordan's permanent representative to the United Nations. He held various Jordanian ministerial positions; Including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Transport, and Construction and Development, and he is a member of the Jordanian Senate.

 

His upbringing and education

Abdullah Amin Musleh Salah was born in the city of Tulkarm, in the West Bank, on December 31, 1922. He received his primary, preparatory, and secondary education in the schools of his city, Tulkarm, where he studied at the Fadhiliya School in the city.

 

In 1944, he obtained a bachelor's degree with honors in political science from the American University in Beirut, then returned to Palestine in the same year 1944, where he joined the Palestinian Institute of Law, specializing in law, and graduated from the institute in 1948.

 

After that, he held a number of government positions in Palestine for years until 1962, when he entered the Jordanian diplomatic life in this year.

His brother is the Palestinian politician “Salah Amin Salah,” who was mayor of Tulkarm during the period (1951-1957) and a member of the first Palestinian National Council, and his uncle is the Palestinian politician “Abd al-Latif Salah.”

Abdullah Salah died in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on December 29, 2007, of heart disease. Jordanian Prime Minister Marouf al-Bakhit mourned Abdullah Salah, and al-Bakhit recalled the "great services" provided by Abdullah Salah to Jordan.
