Rafiq Shakir al-Natsheh (1934- ) is a Palestinian politician and former Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council. He was born in 1934 in the city of Hebron, graduated from the Lebanese University, and then completed a master's degree at Cairo University. Al-Natsheh is considered one of the founders of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and one of the first founders of the Fatah movement. He is currently the head of the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission since 2010. Al-Natsheh has authored many intellectual books dealing with the Palestinian cause, such as: Islam and Palestine, Israel is a colonial project, hunting and expulsion on a trip to the Empty Quarter.
