Bushra Jamal Muhammad Al-Taweel (born on April 25, 1993 in Al-Bireh) is a Palestinian journalist and has been imprisoned in the Israeli occupation prisons since November 8, 2020.

Bushra Al-Taweel was born in the city of Al-Bireh in the central West Bank, and received her school education there. She obtained a diploma in journalism and media from Al-Asriya University College in Ramallah in 2013. Al-Taweel worked with the Palestinian Anin Al-Qid Network, which specializes in the affairs of prisoners and detainees and their rights, and was a media spokesperson for it.

Her father, Jamal Al-Taweel, is a prominent member of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, where he was the mayor of the city of Al-Bireh between 2006 and 2012.

Her father spent a total of 14 years in captivity at various intervals, and her mother spent about a year between February 2010 and February 2011.

Bushra was arrested for the first time when she was 18 years old on July 6, 2011, and she was sentenced to 16 months in prison, of which she spent 5 months and was released after completing the prisoner exchange deal (Wafa Al-Ahrar-Shalit) at the end of 2011. On July 2, 2014, the Israeli occupation re-arrested her To complete the remainder of her sentence until she was released on May 17, 2015. Later on November 1, 2017, she was re-arrested and an administrative detention order was issued against her that lasted for eight months.

She was arrested on December 11, 2019, and an administrative detention order was issued against her for a period of 4 months, which was renewed again in March 2020 for a period of 4 months, then an Israeli court ordered her release on July 28, 2020.

At approximately 11 pm on November 8, 2020, the Israeli occupation arrested her at the Tayyar checkpoint near Yitzhar settlement, south of Nablus governorate. An administrative detention order was issued against her for a period of 4 months.
