He began his journalistic work as an editor in Al-Thawra newspaper in 1967. His interest was focused on cultural and literary affairs. He conducted several important dialogues with poets and writers at the time. After that, he went college to write on political affairs. Over the years, he wrote many articles, angles, and political commentaries that were published in newspapers and magazines, and many of them were broadcast on Syrian radio and television. He had an outstanding presence. Editor-in-chief of Wafa Agency in 1972, in Damascus. He was one of the active participants in the establishment of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists, and was elected for two electoral terms as a member of the General Conference representing the Syrian branch of the Union. In 1978, he was assigned to head the editor-in-chief of the newspaper (Al-Fidaa), which is published in the Hama governorate.. Then he worked as head of the cultural department in Al-Thawra newspaper, then the political department. And since 1980, he held the position of editor-in-chief in the monthly (Voice of Palestine) magazine. He also headed the editor-in-chief of (Al-Wehda) newspaper, which was published in Lattakia in 1984, where it issued issue zero and the first issues of the newspaper. He held the post of Editor-in-Chief for Political Affairs in Tishreen newspaper since 1989. He also served as editor-in-chief of Tishreen Weekly magazine since 1998. Member for two electoral terms in the Council of the Syrian Journalists Union since 1991 until now. He visited many foreign countries and most Arab countries on official press missions and with invitations to media and diplomatic festivals.
