A student team from the Faculty of Law and Public Administration at Birzeit University succeeded in representing Palestine in the regional competition for international humanitarian law, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The Palestinian team won the award for best pleader in the regional competition organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross. The award was won by student Ahmed Abu Dukhan from the university team.
On his account on the social networking site Facebook, Ahmed said, “After a long struggle and staying up late, thank God, the best pleader among the 9 participating Arab countries.. I dedicate the victory to my team, which was the strongest participating team.. and Birzeit, we will return to you with the cup.”
During the competition, the university team competed against teams from 9 participating Arab countries.
