His Excellency Judge A. Muhammad Abd al-Ghani al-Awiwi obtained his high school diploma in 1974 from the Ibrahimi School in Hebron, then he obtained a law degree in 1978 from Muhammad V University in the Kingdom of Morocco. He worked as a lawyer in his private office in the city of Hebron from 1980 until 1995. He was elected as a member.

In the administrative body of the Arab Lawyers Committee in the years 1989 - 1991, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Hebron University in 1993, and in 1995 he was appointed to the Palestinian judiciary, and fluctuated in judicial positions from a justice of the peace and a judge of first instance to the president of the court of first instance in the Hebron and Bethlehem governorates until the year 2005 when he was appointed Assistant Attorney General of the State of Palestine until 2013, where he served as Attorney General of the State of Palestine until 2016, then he was appointed as a judge in the Supreme Court until he became a member of the Supreme Constitutional Court in 2019.

Counselor Al-Aweiwi worked as a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Birzeit University, and a member of the Academic Committee of the Palestinian Judicial Institute (formerly), then a member of the Administrative Board of the Palestinian Judicial Institute (formerly). He represented the State of Palestine in many regional and international conferences and participated in presenting working papers in them.
