Ahmad Hosni Ali Al-Ashqar (November 9, 1980) is a former judge, lawyer, university professor, and Palestinian writer. He was born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm. He is the former president of the Arab Union of Judges and one of the founders of the union, and the current head of the Department of Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University. He was the first to rule invalidating the Oslo Accords. He has a collection of publications and books.

His upbringing and educational attainment
Counselor Ahmed Hosni Ali Al-Ashqar was born in the city of Tulkarm in the West Bank on November 9, 1980. He received his primary, preparatory, and secondary education in the schools of his city of Tulkarm, and completed high school in the literary branch of the Ihsan Samara School in the city in 1998. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from An-Najah University in 1998. 2003, and in 2010 he obtained a master’s degree in law from Birzeit University, and a doctorate in constitutional law and political institutions from Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco in 2017.

He belonged to the Fatah movement in his early youth, and served as a rapporteur in the movement office of the Palestinian Writers and Writers Union. He was also active in the Fatah Movement’s Commission for Arab-China Relations from 2005 to 2011.

On January 25, 2012, Ahmed Al-Ashqar was sworn in before the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Farid Al-Jallad, as a magistrate judge according to a decree issued by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
