Othman Al-Takruri (Abu Saleh, August 12, 1943 - December 22, 2020), is a Palestinian lawyer and university professor, who was a judge in the Palestinian Supreme Court, and is considered one of the prominent figures of law in Palestine. He was a professor of law at the Faculty of Law at Hebron University and a number of other Palestinian universities. He also authored a number of books and research papers on law.

Othman Saleh Othman Al-Takruri was born in the city of Hebron on August 12, 1943. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ain Shams University from 1962 to 1966, and then obtained a Master’s degree in International and Private Law from the same university between 1962 and 1966. 1969 to 1971, and a doctorate in commercial law from the same university from December 1979 to November 1982.

 

Othman worked as a legal and legal lawyer in the city of Hebron. He also worked as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Commerce at Birzeit University, the Faculty of Sharia, the Faculty of Administration and Finance at Hebron University, the Faculty of Law at Al-Quds University, and the Faculty of Business Administration at Bethlehem University. He also worked as a judge in the Palestinian Supreme Judicial Council, and was an assistant professor at the Palestinian Judicial Institute of the Palestinian Ministry of Justice and at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Ahlia University in Bethlehem. He worked from May 1987 to August 1988 as Acting President of Hebron University, then became Dean of Student Affairs from 1992 to 1994. He was a member of the University’s Association Council and Secretary of the Council for two terms from 1976-1980 and a co-founder of the Polytechnic Institute, which later became After Palestine Polytechnic University.

He died in the city of Hebron on December 22, 2020 AD, corresponding to Jumada al-Ula 7, 1442 AH, at the age of 77.
