Abd al-Hakim Samara is a Palestinian writer and journalist, born in the village of Jatt al-Muthalath in 1959. He completed secondary school at al-Tira al-Thani School. He established Al-Yasar publications in the village of Baqa al-Gharbiya in 1980, and moved to Jatt in 1985. He is the editor-in-chief of the quarterly magazine, Al-Masirah.

1959 Born in the village of Jatt al-Muthalath (formerly Jatt al-Sha'rawi). He grew up in the streets and alleys of the village, learning from the town's book. He was then enrolled in the only public and official Jatt Primary School in the town. Until she graduated from it in the ninth grade. He continued his secondary education at Al-Tira School.

 

1977 Graduated from high school.

 

1978 He founded "Al-Yassar" publications in Baqa al-Gharbiya, close to his hometown, and opened the first printing press in the triangle, and that was at the end of the year (1978 AD). He published many books and local literature. The Israeli police pursued him and imprisoned him for varying periods of time.

 

1981 He moved to his home town of Jatt, opened a printing and publishing office, and published a quarterly cultural magazine “Al-Masirah” and a weekly newspaper “Al-Diyar” until 1988, after which he worked in many fields far from culture and publications, after that he worked in cultural distribution.

 

1993 - Founded Shams publications and published a monthly magazine, six issues of which were published. He is still working in issuing and distributing local books. He worked for many local Arab media organizations, including Al-Bayader Al-Siyasi, Al-Ayyam, Al-Kateb, Al-Ittihad, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida (Arab Studies Association - Jerusalem) and newspapers. Another local, he contributed to the collection and preservation of many heritage pieces, and a museum was established in the town in order to display these tools. He founded the “Al-Khabiya” institution to collect and document Arabic publications at home (48), and he still collects all publications and publications that reach my hands.

 

2004 - His interests began in the heritage aspect, especially in the field of popular culture, where he collected and documented Palestinian folk tales. He performed it and narrated it to people, children and students. Today, he works in this field with many institutions (schools, clubs, associations, groups) and has published four folk tales intended for children. He is working today to publish an encyclopedia that includes hundreds of Palestinian folk tales.
