Ghassan Al-Hassan is a Jordanian writer and poet of Palestinian origin, born in 1944 AD. He taught Arabic in secondary schools in Jordan, Libya and the Emirates from 1966 to 1977, and held the position of Head of the Authoring and Publishing Department and Deputy Director of the Cultural Department in the “Ministry of Information and Culture in Abu Dhabi” from 1977 to 2005, and he worked as a literary supervisor in “Al-Saqqar Magazine”, and he is the founder and president of the “Arab Cultural Forum” in the “Jordanian Society” between 1988 and 1991, and he is a member of the jury for the “Million’s Poet Competition”, and a researcher in Emirati folklore, and a popular literature advisor at the Poetry Academy In the "Abu Dhabi Authority for Heritage and Culture" since 2006, which includes the Academy of Poetry, which runs the Million's Poet and the Prince of Poets program on the Abu Dhabi satellite channel.

He was a member of the “Advisory Board of the Art and Popular Heritage Magazine” and the “Cultural Landmarks Magazine”. He worked as an article writer for “Durrat Al Emarat Magazine”, “Sports and Youth Magazine” between 1992 and 1999, and “Al Sada” magazine between 1999. And 2003, and a member of the “Editorial Board of the Encyclopedia of Palestinian Folklore” and the “Advisory Board to Develop the National Strategy for the Advancement of Women.”

Among his books: “The Scientific Encyclopedia of Nabati Poetry,” consisting of thirteen parts, “Poetry and Sniping,” “Nabati Poetry in Sheikh Zayed’s Parade,” “Emirati Al-Taghrooda: A Scientific Study of the Art of Al-Taghrooda in Emirati Folklore,” and “Divan Al-Taghrooda Al-Emaratiya: Tahreed from the Emirates”, and “Civilization of Poetry in the Desert of the Emirates”.

He obtained a BA in Arabic language and literature from the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Cairo, in 1966, and obtained a master's degree in the same field in February 1974, and obtained a Ph.D. in July 1987 from the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Cairo.
