Hearts of Fire novel

Her novel Hearts of Fire dealt with the idea of the Palestinian diaspora through the eyes of children who lived far from Palestine but knew about it from their parents’ conversations and their present memories. The theme of the work was the pearl, and why pearls?
Since the disappearance of natural pearls, the emergence of artificial pearls, the change in economic balances and its shift to oil that appeared in the Gulf, and the migration of people, especially Palestinians searching for a living, to Kuwait and the Emirates in particular, where Palestinian families were close together to feel safe in their exile, the novel reviews the period of the Second Gulf War and how it was reflected. These events affect people's perception of the return of Palestine.
The two heroes of the novel, Rabih and Yara, who represent the voice of every Palestinian who did not know her and was born in a diaspora, but his blood and soul are calling him and he does not know where to go. Several events take place between Rabih and Yara and they separate because of politics, war, and the mystery of Palestine. Will they meet again and know each other?
