Talat Saqireq was a Palestinian poet, he was born in Tripoli, Lebanon on 18 March, 1953. Talat grew up in Damascus where he received his education; obtained an Ijazah in Arabic Literature from Damascus University in 1979.

Saqireq has worked in journalism, culture editor of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (Sawt Falasteen) in 1979, director of Dar Al-Maqdisiyya for Publishing and Distributing in Syria, founder and editor in chief of Al-Misbar Magazine. He is also a member of the Journalists Union in Syria, member of the Arab Writers Union. 
 

Talat died on 15 October, 2011.
