Elias Al-Ayyubi (1874 - 29 July 1927) was an Ottoman Palestinian historian who lived most of his life in the Egyptian Khedive. He was born and raised in Acre, Palestine, in the state of Syria, and then left for Egypt and completed his education there. He headed the translation department in the Egyptian House of Representatives, was interested in history and wrote several large books on the history of Egypt. He died in Zahle, Greater Lebanon, at the age of 53.

Elias Al-Ayyubi was born in 1291 AH / 1874 AD in the city of Acre in the Sanjak of Acre in the Ottoman state of Syria and grew up there. He received his education in the schools of Syria, Egypt, French and Italian, from 1881 to 1892, and obtained a certificate of authorization in literature and philosophy. He taught, and after a while he traveled to Egypt, joined government jobs, and was appointed Director of the Translation Department in the Senate.

May 8, 1922: He won the first prize, the Three Hundred Pounds Prize, for his book “The History of Egypt during the Era of Khedive Ismail Pasha from 1863 AD to 1879 AD” after he participated in the match organized by Fouad I under the supervision of the Egyptian Scientific Academy to compose the history of Egypt during the reign of Khedive Ismail.
