Information
Rebhi was born in Jerusalem 1912, received his primary education in Al-Rashidiyyeh School in Jerusalem; finished his secondary education and left to Cairo where he joined Al-Azhar Al-Sharief; he then joined Dar Al Oloum; graduating in 1963 with a Diploma in Literature. Rebhi returned to Palestine where he worked in teaching at the government's schools then at the Hebrew University (1940-1946).
Rebhi was a fluently speaker of the Hebrew language, so that the Jewish offered him to work with him but he refused that.
In 1948, he and his family emigrated to Damascus following Al-Nakba, worked as a lecturer at the below universities:
Syriac, Hebrew and Aramaic languages lecturer, Damascus University.
Hebrew language lecturer at Beirut Arab University (1971-1977)
Hebrew, Syriac and Comparative linguistics at the University of Jordan (1969-1975)
