Amal Mansour, born Amal Murshid Abu Salah (1950 - 31 October 2018), is a Palestinian writer, and the wife of writer Khairy Mansour.

Amal was born in 1950 in Dahiyat Shweikeh neighborhood in the city of Tulkarm, and received her education in the schools of her city, Tulkarm, where she studied the primary stage at Tulkarm Primary School, and completed her preparatory stage at Al-Asma’i School, and secondary school at Al-Adawiya Secondary School for Girls in the city.

Amal worked in the Savings and Credit Bank in Kuwait between 1967 and 1974, then returned to Jordan to work as a librarian for the Executive Office for the Affairs of the Occupied Territories from 1975 to 1977, then she left for Baghdad and resided there until 1977, and from there to Beirut to work as a language teacher She returned to Baghdad again in 1980 to work as an employee at the Children's Culture House from 1980 to 1987. Amal contributed to editing children's magazines: "Majallati", "Al-Mizmar" and "Ilm and Technology".

She is married to the writer Khairy Mansour, who died on September 19, 2018.

her death
She died on October 31, 2018, in Dahiyat Al-Rasheed, west of Amman, where she was killed by her Ugandan maid with eight stab wounds. Jordanian media reported that the maid worked in Amal's house for 13 years, but she killed Amal and stole some of the house's belongings, then headed to the Queen's Airport Alia International, however, the airport employees asked the maid for the approval of the one she works for, and then tried to call the house, but no one answered them. They were able to reach the victim’s son, who was surprised by the maid’s travel suddenly. Until the security services arrived.

It is reported that Amal died 40 days after the death of her husband, Khairy Mansour, who died on September 19, 2018.
