Israa Al Mudallal (born in Egypt, 1990) has been the spokeswoman for the tenth Palestinian government - the government of Ismail Haniyeh - in English in Gaza since 2013. She is married and has one child.

She is a refugee originally from the village of Al-Batani Al-Gharbi. She was born in Egypt in 1990, a year before the Madrid Peace Conference. She grew up in Gaza and Britain, and grew up in the Shaboura refugee camp in the Palestinian city of Rafah. She studied secondary school at Bradford School, England, then obtained a BA in Journalism and Media from the Islamic University of Gaza with training in journalism. She holds a BA in Mass Communication from the same university. She studied for about four years in Britain and mastered the English language, which was a determining factor for her appointment to this position.

Action:
She worked as an English language correspondent for Press TV during the first war on the Gaza Strip in 2008. Then she worked as a programmer and presenter for Al-Kitab satellite channel, and during her work she hosted foreign solidarity activists.

* She is not a member of Hamas
Israa confirmed that she is not a member of Hamas, but rather works to serve her country. Women preceded her in representing the movement politically. There is a Minister of Women's Affairs in Gaza, in addition to female members of the Legislative Council representing the movement. Head of the Government Media Office and government spokesman in Gaza, Ihab Al-Ghussein, said that his government's policy is to open up to everyone, stressing that the government wants the world to hear from it, not from it.
