Information
I have a PhD in Innovation Economics from Lille 1 University in France, and I have been a Professor of Economics and Head of the Economics Program (Master's and MSc) at An-Najah National University from 2011-2015. I am an expert in economic knowledge and innovation in Palestine and the Arab region, writing policy papers and helping academic and public institutions build knowledge-based strategies and planning based on public innovation networks.
Five years after completing my PhD, I conducted research in the field of innovation and economic knowledge. I implemented a project funded by the Palestinian Ministry of Economy on the relationship between firm productivity and the adoption of innovation systems in the Palestinian services sector. I continue to explore new platforms related to economic and business economics. My experience in economic modeling and data analysis using software such as SAS, STATA, and E-Views is applicable to this level of research. During my four years as an economics professor and head of the economics department, I have participated in numerous workshops, seminars, and conferences at both the national and international levels. Most of these activities have focused on providing public policy guidance to the Palestinian government and the public and private sectors to enhance performance, strategic planning, and capacity building.
