- Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Sociology, Damascus University, 1965.
- Vice President of the Jordanian Writers Association and member of its administrative board for ten years, 1977-1987.
- Member of the General Secretariat of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists, 1987-2004.
- Member of the Palestinian National Council, 1988-1996.
- Editor-in-Chief of the weekly Al-Tali'ah al-Maqdisiyah newspaper, 1994-1996.
* General Supervisor of the cultural journal Dafatir Thaqafiyah, published by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture, 1997-2000 .
* Cultural Affairs Editor for Sawt al-Watan magazine, published in Ramallah, 1997-2002 . * Began writing in 1962 and published many of his short stories in Al-Ufuq al-Jadeed magazine in Jerusalem.
* Worked as a cultural affairs editor for the Jerusalem-based newspaper Al-Jihad, then Al-Quds, from 1965 to 1967.
* Worked as an editor for the Jordanian newspaper Al-Ra'i, covering the occupied territories, from 1978 to 1980. *
Worked as a weekly columnist for the Jordanian newspaper Al-Ra'i from 1991 to 1993.
